Yongchun's technique, footwork and horse step
Yongchun's
techniques are mainly arm, stand and crouch, supplemented by more than ten
techniques, such as pillow, smother, circle, bullet, block, diameter bundle,
support, cuddle, clap, ask, mark, Cuan and Chong. The movements are simple,
emphasizing the dexterity of wrist and the strength of elbow bottom.
In terms of
footwork, it is usually ignored by outsiders who think that Wing Chun has no
footwork. Like the technique, Yongchun's footwork is also very simple. As far
as the foot movement is concerned, it mainly consists of straight kick,
horizontal kick and upward kick, and all of them are heel kick to attack the
enemy. If it is applied to the situation of enemy and ourselves in attack and
defense, there are eight combinations of footwork, all of which are put into
the wooden man pile method, which is the "eight footwork" of
Yongchun. "Yongchun eight feet" should be combined with horse
rotation, horse walking and techniques to attack the enemy's waist, knee, tibia
and other parts, with amazing power.
In the aspect of
horse walking, there are two character sheep horse and Ziwu horse standing;
there are turning horse, circle horse, standard horse and triangle horse
moving. The four level horses of biepai had their legs bent and knees separated
as far as possible. They stood very stable, but they changed slowly. Although
it is easy to move, it can't stand steadily. The horse step of Yongchun boxing
makes a compromise between steadiness and change. The technique and footwork of
Yongchun boxing will not be used alone, but must be combined with the horse
step, so the horse step is the soul of the technique and footwork of Yongchun
boxing.
