Why does Wing Chun's body lean back slightly

Why does Wing Chun's body lean back slightly

The horse of "two character sheep" in Yongchun boxing is higher, which is different from the common four level horse, bow in front and arrow in back. As Qi Jiguang said, because this is a "Gao Siping" horse, standing high, you can "body method live change". Siping horse, front bow and back arrow, because of the wide stride, is indeed more stable than the "two character sheep" horse, but when moving, it is not very dexterous. Perhaps because of this reason, sun Lutang created the sun's Tai Chi footwork, which must be followed when taking a step. Wu Yuxiang also created a similar, high body, Wu's Tai Chi footwork, which is different from Chen, Yang and other historical horse steps.

When you stand high, you swing more. So, you have to lean back slightly to achieve balance. Standing high on a horse is a common action in many Qigong. However, it is obviously different from the "two character Mandarin sheep" horse of Yongchun boxing, that is, Yongchun boxing must push the tail forward (Yongchun boxing disciple or called "lifting anus"), so that the shoulders, crotch and knees form a straight line, and then the body tilts backward in an oblique line, while Qigong must bend the waist and crotch to form a sitting posture. Different actions, because want to achieve different purposes. As soon as a horse sits, it is easy to get through on weekdays. From perineum to Baihui, it is easy to have a sense of circular Qi. As for leaning back, the shoulder should not exceed the heel when leaning back, which is the heaviest way to balance the front of hands.

The following is a widely circulated picture of young Bruce Lee in his study stage, compared with the posture of master IP man, who is already a veteran of Yongchun boxing. Whether he is mature or not will have an immediate effect. In Figure 1, master IP man stands on a backward leaning Yongchun horse. In Figure 2, Bruce Lee stands on a horse like Qigong. In Figure 3, he leans forward even more. Photo 1 master IP man is wearing an iron ring and carrying a heavy load on his forearm. Because he leans back and is balanced back and forth, it seems that he is still standing firmly. Figure 2 shows Bruce Lee leaning forward slightly due to his arm stretching forward, while Figure 3 shows that there will be a crisis of former servants.

The former servant's danger is even greater when he is holding hands. He keeps doing it in front of his chest, pulling his fist in front of his chest, and pressing his hands in front of my chest, or even trying to pull me forward without leaning back, so he is easy to fall in front of him. Figure 4 is a picture of master IP man and Bruce Lee holding hands. Most of the movements are made for shooting at will. However, in the picture, master IP man is relaxed and comfortable, with his shoulders no more than his front knees and his shoulders no more than his heels. When he leans back slightly, the center of gravity of his head and sole are in a straight line. Because of this kind of condition, his left and right hands can move forward calmly without dragging down the center of gravity of his body. As for Bruce Lee, his lumbar spine is almost vertical to the ground, his forehead is close to his toes, his head's center of gravity has been tilted forward to his toes, and his body has not been tilted back. It seems that the danger of his front servant is far greater than that of master IP MAN.

With Bruce Lee's wisdom, he later broke through the principle that the horse step of Yongchun is slightly backward, forming his own system, which is not limited by the above-mentioned focus problem, and is regarded as the sublimation theory.
