The illustration of Yongchun's standing pile and middle line principle

Yongchun right standing pile: the correct right standing pile method is that the feet are separated, the width should not be too wide or too narrow, the weight of the body should be evenly divided on the feet, the knees are slightly bent, the upper body should be upright, the hands should be placed on the middle line of the body, the right hand should be placed in front of the left hand, and the left hand should be placed in front of the right hand.

Yongchun is standing on the left

Yongchun right stake: stand with the right stake step, then move the right foot forward one step, face the enemy on the side, most of the body weight falls on the back foot, knees still keep slightly bent, hands protect the body center line, right hand in front, left hand behind to form right stake, left stake is the same as right stake, only move the left foot forward, left hand in front of the right hand.

                                                    Yongchun left leg:

Yongchun right sitting stake: right sitting stake is to turn the body to the left with the right standing stake footwork, fight the enemy with the right side of the body, bend the knees, and drop the body weight on the right leg, with the right hand in front, the left hand behind, and the palm turning down. The position of the left hand should be slightly lowered, and the hands should still be on the body center line. The key to sitting on the left stake is the same as that to sitting on the right stake, but turn your body to the right and change the position of your

hands.

The principle of middle line is a very important principle in Yongchun boxing. The principle of middle line can be said to be the core of the basic attack and defense skills of Yongchun boxing. It is widely used and plays a very important role in the pile method, technique and various advance and retreat methods of Yongchun boxing. If you are not familiar with the principle of middle line, it is difficult to practice the highest level of Yongchun boxing. The following examples illustrate the principle that both hands should still move on the center line when changing position.

1. In the right standing pile method, the right hand and left hand are protected on the midline of the chest, thus forming an optimal position for setting the pile.

2. When the right standing pile method is changed to the left standing pile method, the posture remains unchanged. When the hands move, they keep moving on the middle line to avoid exposing the empty door.

 3. When making a mark finger attack, the finger strikes straight from the middle line position, and the empty door of the body is not exposed. Although it is an attack, it still has the function of defense. When the left hand is ready to attack, the left hand retracts along the original attack route, that is, to move on the middle line; when the right hand continues to strike forward and the left hand continues to retract backward, when the right hand is fully extended and the left hand returns to its original position, this action is completed, Although the positions of the hands have been exchanged, the hands only move up and down the middle line and back and forth.

4. In the left standing pile method, the left hand stretches forward on the middle line. When it is changed to the right standing pile method, the right hand stretches forward on the middle line, but no matter how the position of the body or hands changes, the middle line will never change.
