How can Yongchun boxing develop its strength and explosive power

One of the focuses of martial arts training is strength. Force is the power contained in the body, and strength is the effect of appropriate and timely use combined with the force of all parts of the body.
Try a test. Hold a towel and whip it to the target at high speed. Then, when the towel is about to run out, it will suddenly speed up and withdraw. Such a soft towel will suddenly become a powerful weapon. In order to achieve the effect of changing from weak to strong and from Yin to Yang, the coordination of strength and time is very important. The principle is the principle of strength.
Strength is tangible. For example, if you are strong and muscular, you will naturally have more strength. Strength is intangible, because the focus of strength is not on individual muscle strength, but on the integration and application of all parts of the body. People who know how to use strength may not be strong, but they can also break out strong and powerful attacks.
There are many examples of exertion, such as playing badminton. A little sister who knows how to exert herself may defeat a big adult. On the contrary, adults may be so powerful that they can even bend the racket and smash the ball, but they can't concentrate on hitting the ball back into the opponent's field.
To enhance strength, we can consider two factors, first of all, quality. Western sports thought and some foreign martial arts emphasize that strength is produced by muscles and skeletons. In order to enhance muscle strength, more weight-bearing exercises will be carried out. In this way, the muscles will become bigger and the body mass will be increased. When the body mass becomes bigger, the force will also be greatly increased. But muscles can be divided into active muscles, antagonistic muscles and coordinating muscles. Weight bearing exercises can only exercise some muscles of the body, such as biceps or triceps of the hand and mouth. After local muscle training, this group of muscles are strengthened, but the whole body lacks coherence, and the strength can not be fully released. For example, the arm can make a force of 100 kg, but its feet, elbows and wrists can only bear a force of 50 kg at most, so the force that can finally be transferred to the fist and hit the enemy will be less than 100 kg, and some of the force will even be lost in the process of muscle confrontation. In this way, apart from the boxer training, the boxing practice is indispensable. In addition to the move training, the boxing practice also includes the integration of muscle inertia and strength consistency.
Therefore, another idea of Kungfu focuses on the overall coordination, that is, when exerting force, it is not just a hand or a leg, and does not emphasize individual parts of the body, but uses up the whole body to exert force, such as hand, wrist, elbow, arm, arm, waist, leg, knee, foot, etc. Most martial arts pay more attention to this kind of whole body quality, which is also called liuheli.
Yongchun boxing also has the same overall idea. When practicing small ideas, only hand movements are needed, and all parts of the body should be relaxed. In addition to the basic moves, the more important thing is to practice the three key skills, that is, the coordination of the arms, elbows and wrists. When it comes to the advanced stage to find the bridge, the waist, knee and ankle will be added to improve the quality of the movement.
In addition, in terms of acceleration, the greater the acceleration, the greater the burst of force.
Many people misunderstand that Wing Chun doesn't use force, but in fact, it requires that it should be loose and tight, and never store force when it is not needed. Once it works, it is like a rubber band, emphasizing acceleration and explosive force.
Weichun's power is to relax first, and start from static when he starts to get the maximum acceleration. It takes advantage of the change of muscle tension, and often accelerates suddenly when it is very close to the target, giving off short but strong explosive force. Because the change time and distance are short, it is especially conducive to close combat. The key to practice is to relax, but also need other joints and muscles as loose as possible, the key point is to grasp the control of acceleration. Hit the target easily, reduce the resistance of the antagonistic muscles, and concentrate all your strength when you reach the target. Don't waste your strength before you reach the target.
As an analogy, the acceleration of a car from 0 km / h to 40 km / h is often greater than that of the same car from 60 km / h to 100 km / h. The reason is that the higher the car's speed is, the greater the wind resistance, road resistance and internal resistance of the engine will be. The higher the speed is, the higher the requirements for strengthening the car's structure will be. This analogy tells us that when the hands and feet are relaxed, the acceleration will be greater and the efficiency will be higher than when the hands and feet are tight and the muscles are continuously tense.
The explosive force is produced by the sudden contraction of muscles, and the contraction of muscles comes from the relaxation ability of muscles. The greater the difference between relaxation and contraction, the greater the explosive force. In the accumulation of strength, the brain must first relax, so that the muscles will relax, so that in an instant the muscles suddenly strong. When practicing boxing, we should pay special attention to relaxation training. Of course, if we don't practice the strength together, it's still difficult to develop a better explosive force. Relaxation and contraction are opposite and unified, which is the way to develop strength of Yongchun boxing.
